More than a year and a half ago, Port de Sitges began remodeling works to adapt to the needs and demands of 21st-century facilities, with the aim of offering high-quality and sustainable services and experiences.
To explain what is being done and what will be done, Port de Sitges has published a series of videos on social media to provide first-hand information about the progress of the works. Rafa Velasco, engineer of the Works Management, Xavier Cuyàs, manager of the Port, and David Vellet, captain of Port de Sitges, narrate, from the perspective of their respective work areas, all the changes that users will encounter.
Xavier Cuyàs, managing director of Port de Sitges, explains how the improvement works at the port entrance are progressing. The main change in this area is the creation of a promenade that will directly connect the entrance with the Restaurant Boulevard, as well as a better and more optimized parking area for vehicles accessing our facilities.
David Vellet, captain of Port de Sitges, explains the main changes and improvements that have been made to the port’s mooring area. The replacement of fixed pontoons with state-of-the-art floating ones, as well as improved accessibility to boats, are some of the main enhancements achieved with the works being carried out at Port de Sitges – Aiguadolç.
